Akram Khan in Yerevan

whirling bodies at an increadible speed, sudden sharp halts, motion in a silent poise, lithe beauty, grace and lightness of bodies

soulful tenderness of a peasant song, incredible rhythm of drums and bare feet

simple and wise stories

... this is what one could see on stage yerevan opera and ballet theater last night.

i'm not sure if it was steiner that had sharpened my senses or the group's obvious talent, but it was one of the best events i've seen recently that i would qualify as 'the expression of spiritualiy'. i guess in general it's rather challenging to bring the body to work for the spirit, but i think akram khan has masterfully managed such a difficult task.

i need to learn how:-)
